Are you an experienced copywriter or editor who simply adores content marketing? We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Copywriter / Content Marketing Coordinator to become a member of our Brand & Website Agency, based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.

Day-to-day, you’ll be working in a small team of 4-8 people, where you’ll be primarily responsible for developing and implementing the content strategy across all client platforms.

We’re looking for a passionate wordsmith and go-getter who can deliver strategic copywriting and publish-ready digital content, create strategic briefs and data-driven content analysis, and uphold each client’s unique brand voice.

Never a boring project, our clients range from cutting-edge medical and beauty providers to wholesome finance and eCommerce businesses. You’ll be crafting and managing content for brands across finance & accounting, medical, health and wellness, beauty, home improvement, luxury brands and services, wedding, manufacturing and B2B industries.

Your Role & Our Key Selection Criteria

You will be covering content strategy, writing and production, as well as content project management to produce customer-led content. As a Content Marketing Coordinator at Marketing Your Brand, you will be responsible for:

  • Brand profiling & tone of voice execution: Developing an in-depth understanding of our client’s unique brand voice and championing its roll-out across various platforms (websites, blogs, social, EDMs, brochures etc.).
  • Digital, SEO and brand copywriting: Owning copywriting briefs end-to-end, you will distil complex subjects into compelling, on-brand and on-brief pieces of copywriting (website copy, SEO, blogs, lead gen assets, landing pages, email, brochures etc.). 
  • Content research & brief planning: Confidently problem-solving, researching and filling knowledge gaps in the content creation process, you will also be creating content marketing briefs for other in-house and freelance writers.
  • Content management: Directing and overseeing the content publishing process and being confident across a range of CMS platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Flodesk etc.).
  • Copy and content editing: Reviewing, editing and proofreading content work produced by other in-house and freelance copywriters.
  • Social media strategy: Development of social media strategies, offering best-practice recommendations and strategic social media marketing guidance directly to clients.
  • Client management: As a client-facing role, you will work closely with the team and directly with clients to ensure they feel supported and confident.
  • Content audits & reporting: Working on content audits and developing roll-out plans, producing monthly SEO and social media reports, with a knack for identifying trends, highlighting important insights and offering strategic recommendations to optimise and improve content.
  • Content management: Confidently overseeing the team’s deliverables for each client’s content and social media calendars.

Who Will Delight & Excite Us? 

Someone with:

  • 3+ years experience as a copywriter, content writer, content manager, or similar. Agency experience is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Strong experience in website content, copywriting, working within time frames, SEO content writing, social media marketing or digital marketing.
  • A natural love for writing and the confidence to tackle complex subjects, conduct research and deliver engaging copy and content.
  • The ability to jump between multiple projects, clients and brand voices with ease and agility.
  • A solid understanding of content marketing best practice, confidence in making strategic recommendations and executing best-in-class content creation.
  • A good understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to craft written content that keeps Google and readers happy.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit. We want you to be passionate about delivering exceptional copy and content with an unbeatable client experience.

Is this role open to remote work & contractors? Yes, we will consider remote positions & contractors in Sydney or Melbourne for the right applicant. Along with the West Coast, USA.

Will we consider a part-time applicant? Yes, we are also open to considering part-time applicants too.

Do we require examples of work that directly address key selection criteria? Yes, we do. Please consider your suitability to the role against the key selection criteria. While not all key selection criteria are required (a level of training is available) we are looking for the most experienced and aligned applicant to become our fellow team member.
